Letter #9

Today I was listening to my ipod and these songs came up: I'll Be There (Michael Jackson), I Want You Back(Michael Jackson), You Make My Dreams Come True (Hall and Oats), and Kiss From A Rose (Seal). Now I think that my favorite out of them is You Make My Dreams Come True because it's more hopeful and lively. The phrase "I'll never be the same" in the song is what I dream of when I meet you. I have to go to a conference now but next time I'll elaborate more.

I think Robert Frost said it best:

"Love is the irresistible desire to be desired irresistibly."

Letter #8:

I guess now I realize what puppy love means. When I see people I always think of a background story for them to make things interesting. I think of their backstory and imagine what it would be to be friends with them. When I meet a friend or someone I like I try to go through the same motions so that I'll meet them again and say hi. I yearn to meet people and I look for people I know so we can connect again. I guess that's puppy love. Waiting full of hope for people you recognize and were waiting for.

I think this quote is best for today:

Letter #7

I'm studying for my test right now and it seems to me that for me I have the most motivation in studying/preparation when I'm doing it for someone I love. When I went back to Korea over the summer I memorized the names of all my cousins that I haven't seen for years and some I haven't seen ever. When I meet you I will make sure that I know you so that I could love you even more. It sounds a bit creepy and a bit serial killer-ish but that's the truth. I want to please you and I'll do anything.

This reminds me that I need to understand you if I want to be with you:

Love is strong yet delicate.
It can be broken.
To truly love is to understand this.
To be in love is to respect this.

Letter #6

I'm sorry for not writing as I said I would. I have no excuses and I am sorry.

I'm going to host an event by my club tomorrow. I am the emcee and I have to make this go smoothly. I hope that I can achieve this so that I can grow closer to being a perfect man for you. I have learned a lot since this semester and I've been giving it my all. I hope that reminding myself of my commitment to you will be even more motivation for me to keep doing my all.

Letter 5:

I went running after a long time of not running. It seems like everyday that passes by without knowing you is like running. At first I was fresh and excited for love but now I'm struggling to keep up. It's all willpower now that separates me from despair. This actually reminds me of the Green Lantern comics. In the comics the Blue Lanterns' power source is hope. It says that the Blue Lanterns are powerless without the Green Lanterns (willpower). Right now I don't know if I'm the Green or Blue Lantern. My hope for us is keeping my willpower strong and my willpower allows me to hope for a better future.

Letter 4:

I want to get to know you. I have learned from my short life that when you open yourself to others completely you can become great friends immediately. Whether it is a couple years or a couple days doesn't matter in the relationship until you have a heart to heart with someone. Knowing this I hope to meet you when I'm slightly intoxicated because I talk the more I drink. I pour myself out to anyone willing to listen. And when that day comes I hope you are willing to listen to me.

Note 2:

I decided that writing when I'm "inspired" was just a way of being lazy. I will regularly post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday so that I am dedicated to this blog.

Note:

I realize that I didn't post one yesterday because I was not inspired. If I find something inspiring about love or anything that might show my appreciation for you then I will put it on this blog but until I am inspired again (hopefully soon) I bid you goodnight.

Letter 3:

Today in my Philosophy class we discussed the Meno by Plato. In it we discussed how Socrates develops the idea of a recollection of knowledge. He says that the soul (which is immortal and the seat of knowledge) knows all before being born. But when we are born we forget the truths we know and we have to recollect them in this life.

To me this is like finding you.

I have absolutely no idea what you look like, how you dress, what your personality is but I know that when I meet you my soul will recollect the beauty of your essence and I will know that you are meant for me and I for you. It's for you that I will seek people. It's for you I will go out. It's for you I will ask questions of love and beauty. So that eventually my soul will know what beauty is.

Letter 2:

I read another poem today and it really does match what I think of you. When I go to bed I go to sleep wanting to be embraced by your warmth. This reminds me of the sleep habit personalities.

I somehow belong to all the positions from a to d. Does that mean anything? I'd like to think that I have a warm and open heart, pretty social, but reserved and suspicious as well. It seems most times I want to sleep hugging something.

I was not a hugger. I like my personal bubble and would not hug anyone but after the retreat I started to hug more often. I feel that one day when I hug you I will know. This is why I changed for you. So that our beginning may start with a hug.

Love letter #1: typed from my letter:

I am writing this now on a retreat I'm on (March 2, 2012). I write this love letter to you because my hear is yearning for you. I spend countless nights imagining my love in action for you. I don't know who you are or if I have met you but I'm doing my best to be worthy of your love. Each time I pass by a person I imagine that this is the start of our relationship and see the fruits of our love. I sincerely hope that I have the courage to talk to you so that all this hope has meaning. I heard a poem that I feel is true to how I feel about you right now.

It goes like this:

How many words would it take to accurately express what you mean to me?
How can you scientifically quantify how much lighter I become when you enter my day or how heavy I feel when you leave?
How could I describe how my smile just appears magnetically when I see your face?
How can I possibly count my thoughts of you when I think of you so constantly?
As thoughts within thoughts within thoughts within thoughts
make it impossible to remember where one began and the other ended.
Time folds into itself as I am already nostalgic for our future
and look forward to our past
for the rest of my life,
